For me, painting is more about emotion than anything else. Whether abstract or representational, my works communicate new or unexpected emotions while offering unique ways to view the familiar. They are based on time spent in nature and traveling. Photographs, sketches, scents and sound can be just as enlightening. In fact, just about anything can provide inspiration, from a shadow on a wall, to a stained-glass window, or a scene in a movie. My goal is to create compelling art that pulls you in and, at times, gives your mind a place to rest.
